Oh are we ever lucky! This is a true blood contralto, Ewa Podles. Compare and contrast this voice to the mezzos we have been listening to. She will sing after the lovely instrumental version of the Anvil chorus as an introduction. Listen to that dark amber voice. Like a fine dark rum. Ewa Podles recently played Erda in Seattle's Ring of the Nibelung Festival. This brings goose-bumps. Listen to that ending that low low note finish. Bravissima!
