Elena Obraztsova sings "Habanera" from Bizet's Carmen

The Russian Elena Obraztsova. The voice is almost an alto. Deep and powerful. This is a very gracious Carmen, more like a refined courtesan used to hanging around higher circles outside of the smuggler scene at Lillas Pastia's. Of course this is why a celebrity like Escamillo would fall for her. So this Carmen is perfectly believable and perhaps a more likely figure to have been a real Carmen in her time. Excellent interpretation!
