Italian mezzo-soprano Giuletta Simionato sings the Habanera in Italian. A rare gem! Here I am ready go off to Googleland again and try to find the lyrics in Italian, which would be like trying to find a needle in a haystack. This recording is scratched and awful, but if you listen behind this unfortunate poor quality recording you'll find a great voice and a totally Italian version that makes me want to imagine a Carmen in rural Sicily. Again, a fresh new perspective from an old scratchy record. Love it!
