The Pavarotti version of "Nessun Dorma" is by far the most popular tenor aria of all time. But my friends, there was never a Calaf as good looking and with such a beautiful voice as the elegant Franco Corelli, who sang the leading role along with Brigit Nilsson
As an opera lover all my 73 years and having heard our own Joan Sutherland and all our australian singers and other international singers I am am so impressed by Franco Corelli...his singing of Calaf is what Pavarotti never acheived...wonderfulas his voice was.
